Every UK Canopies door canopy is backed by our 5-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal domestic use from the date of the original purchase.


As the manufacturer, we stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to resolving genuine manufacturing issues should they arise.

What’s Covered


This warranty covers defects resulting from:


  • Manufacturing defects in materials.
  • Faults arising during the manufacturing process.
  • Defects in workmanship.
  • Structural failure caused by a manufacturing defect during the warranty period.


Should a valid warranty claim be accepted, UK Canopies will, at its sole discretion:


  • Repair the defective component;
  • Supply a replacement component;
  • Replace the complete product where appropriate; or
  • Provide another suitable remedy.


The remedy offered will depend on the nature of the defect and product availability.

Warranty Period


This warranty is valid for five (5) years from the original date of purchase.


The warranty applies only to:


  • The original purchaser.
  • The original installation address.


Proof of purchase is required when making a warranty claim.

What Is Not Covered


This warranty is intended to cover genuine manufacturing defects only.


It does not cover damage, deterioration or failures resulting from:


Normal Ageing


  • Normal weathering.
  • Cosmetic fading or slight colour variation.
  • Surface scratches.
  • Minor marks.
  • General wear and tear.
  • Natural ageing of materials.
  • Cosmetic deterioration that does not affect the structural performance of the product.

Incorrect Installation


Including but not limited to:


  • Failure to follow the supplied installation instructions.
  • Incorrect assembly.
  • Installation onto unsuitable, unstable or structurally unsound surfaces.
  • Failure to adequately weather-seal the canopy to the building.
  • The use of inappropriate substitute fixings where alternative fixings are required for specific wall constructions.

Accidental or External Damage


Including:


  • Impact damage.
  • Misuse.
  • Neglect.
  • Vandalism.
  • Fire.
  • Flooding.
  • Falling trees or branches.
  • Building movement.
  • Subsidence.
  • Damage caused by third parties.
  • Exceptionally severe weather events beyond those reasonably expected for normal domestic installations.

Unauthorised Modifications


This warranty does not cover products that have been modified after purchase, including:


  • Structural alterations.
  • Drilling or cutting components beyond that required during installation.
  • The addition of accessories or loads that the canopy was not designed to support.
  • Modifications affecting the structural integrity of the product.

Decorative Finishes


This warranty does not cover:


  • Customer-applied paints or coatings.
  • Powder coating or refinishing carried out after purchase.
  • Cosmetic finishes applied by third parties.

Customer Responsibilities


To maintain warranty cover, customers are expected to:


  • Install the canopy in accordance with the supplied installation instructions.
  • Ensure the product is securely fixed to a suitable structure.
  • Periodically inspect fixings to ensure they remain secure.
  • Keep the canopy reasonably clean and free from excessive debris.
  • Contact UK Canopies promptly should a suspected manufacturing defect become apparent.

Spare Parts


One of the benefits of purchasing directly from the manufacturer is the continued availability of replacement parts.


Where damage falls outside the scope of this warranty, replacement components are usually available to purchase, allowing repairs to be made without replacing the entire canopy.

Making a Warranty Claim


If you believe your product has developed a manufacturing defect during the warranty period, please contact us with:


  • Your proof of purchase or order number.
  • Photographs clearly showing the issue.
  • A brief description of the fault.


Where necessary, we may request additional photographs or ask for the affected component to be returned for inspection before processing your claim.

Limit of Liability


This manufacturer’s warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective products or components, or another appropriate remedy at UK Canopies’ discretion.


The warranty does not cover:


  • Labour costs associated with installation or removal.
  • Reinstallation costs.
  • Scaffolding or access equipment.
  • Decorating or making good surrounding surfaces.
  • Travel expenses.
  • Any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the failure of the product.
